“Our annual Holiday Pops show is a Muncie tradition. The internationally-known Ball State University Singers will again be our guests for a Broadway-style holiday show” says Douglas Droste, MSO Artistic Director and Conductor. Additional guests include talented dancers from the Ball State Department of Theater and Dance.

Pre-concert children’s activities begin at 3 p.m. Activities partners include Muncie Ballet, Toys Forever Models & Hobbies, face painting provided by Ball State University Theater students, the MSO Instrument Petting Zoo and FREE family portraits sponsored by Murray’s Jewelers. The Muncie Symphony League will hold its annual Wreath Auction before the concert and during intermission.

The Fisher | Shafer Holiday Pops will also feature performances by the Intermezzo Orchestra, directed by Martha Murphy. The Intermezzo Orchestra is one of three orchestras that are the Youth Symphony Orchestras of East Central Indiana (YSOECI).  The YSOECI has approximately 100 students overall across three orchestras, plus Music Fundamentals classes.

Bring the entire family to celebrate the holidays, complete with roasted chestnuts and hot apple cider offered before the concert and during intermission.

This concert is generously supported by Presenting Sponsor, Old National Bank and Concert Sponsors, Westminster Village and Murray’s Jewelers. Generous 2016/17 season sponsorship is provided by Muncie Power Products.
