Seating on the main floor is reserved for school groups, general admission seating is available for public on the balcony.

The Young People’s Concert, held during the school day, engages young minds through an exciting full-orchestra performance. This morning performance by the Muncie Symphony correlates with Indiana Standards of Learning. Participating schools receive student listening guides, a teacher guide and a study CD in advance of the performance. Age-appropriate performance guides help students and teachers get the most out of the concert experience.
Local elementary students attend this concert of live symphonic music free of charge. The concert at 9:30am on January 30, 2013 will be geared toward 4th, 5th and 6th graders , though students of any age are welcome at all concerts. Concerts serve city, county public, private and home-schooled students.

Meet our guest conductor, David Glover.
David Glover is currently the Assistant Conductor of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. This season with the orchestra he assists and covers all Lilly Classical Series concerts as well as conducts Discovery, Family Series, and Side-by-Side Concerts. He is a frequent host of the Indianapolis Symphony’s Words on Music, their pre-concert lecture before each performance.
In the past few seasons, David has led numerous orchestras including the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, North Czech Philharmonic, Rouse Philharmonic, Bulgarian Opera, Bourgas, and Hungarian Opera, Cluj, in addition to working with some of his generation’s most exciting artists, such as Stefan Jackiw and Time for Three. As a participant in numerous competitions, he has placed in the semi-finals of the Bartok Opera Competition and was the youngest person to pass the preliminary round of the Cadeques Competition in 2008. In addition, Mr. Glover has held positions as the Ansbacher Fellow to the Salzburg Festival, and as Conductor of the Indiana University All-Campus Orchestra. He holds degrees from the University of Georgia and Boston University in violin performance, as well a master’s degree in instrumental conducting from Indiana University, where he was named an Adjunct Lecturer in 2007.
Starting as a violinist, David Glover began to work extensively on conducting in 2005 when he founded and became Artistic Director of L’Orchestra da Camera, Boston. With this orchestra, he led its inaugural two seasons, which included a complete performance of The Marriage of Figaro. In addition to his ISO duties, he is also currently the Artistic Director of the Wabash Valley Youth Symphony. David resides in Indianapolis with his wife Emily.
Meet our guest violinist and host!
Nick Kendall studied at the Curtis Institute with the internationally renowned violinist Victor
Danchenko.Nick debuted with the National Symphony Orchestra and the Saint Louis Symphony
Orchestra as the winner of their Young Artists competitions. He has since performed in the concert
halls of Anchorage, Chapel Hill, Chicago, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Louisville, San Francisco and
Tokyo.
In addition to his extensive recording and performance activities as a member of classically trained
garage band, Time for Three (tf3), Nick is also a member of both the East Coast Chamber Orchestra
and the Dryden String Quartet.
