Art Still Heard – Klezmer Now
September 29 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Pre-Concert Talk 6:30 pm at Emens
Art through the ages can still be heard through the music of Beethoven, Greenman, and Mussorgsky. The lush sounds of Beethoven paint a sad story, while the world premiere of Steven Greenman’s Klezmer Violin Suite will mesh non-traditional sounds in the concert hall. One doesn’t have to imagine Moussorgsky’s vision, as Viktor Hartman’s art along with contemporary images will be projected in Emens Auditorium during Pictures of an Exhibition.
