STUDENT TICKETS
All BSU and IVY Tech Community College students are eligible for a free ticket to each of MSO’s Classical concerts. Present a valid student ID at the Emens Box Office no later than a day prior to the scheduled concert to receive your ticket. Tickets the day of the concert for BSU and Ivy Tech Community College students with a valid student ID are $5.00.
OPEN REHEARSALS
This is your chance to see the Muncie Symphony at work in rehearsal in the Emens Auditorium or Sursa Hall. Open Rehearsals give high school and college students and their teachers the opportunity to learn from Muncie Symphony musicians, guest artists and conductors. Students are invited to observe a complete (2 ½ hour) rehearsal; there will be a fifteen minute break approximately halfway through. Following the rehearsal, the conductor, guest artists and/or select members of the MSO may take questions from students.
Open Rehearsals are free of charge, but seating is limited. Reservations must be made in advance through the MSO office. Attending students are expected to treat the open rehearsal as a learning event, listen to the symphony rehearsal actively and attentively; participating schools are encouraged to only bring students who are motivated and interested plus enough chaperones to ensure a positive experience. Concert etiquette is required during all rehearsals. Reservations should be made no later than a week before rehearsal date. Please indicate a first and second choice when making a reservation.
Please check our calendar for the concert schedule and call our office if you plan to attend a rehearsal. Rehearsals usually take place the week of the concert, Wednesday through Friday.
